Fraunhofer has updated its APC expenditures, providing data for the 2019 and 2020 period.
Since 2017 the Fraunhofer Publishing Fund provides central funding for Gold OA publications, this data has now been made available to OpenAPC. Please note that this data set does not contain APCs funded locally by Fraunhofer institutes.
In addition, Fraunhofer has also reported cost data on hybrid articles published under the DEAL agreement with Wiley.

Cost data
The new data set covers publication fees for 257 articles. Total expenditure amounts to 375 629€ and the average fee is 1 462€.
The following table shows the payments the Fraunhofer Publishing Fund has made to publishers in 2019 and 2020. Please note that articles published in hybrid Wiley journals under the DEAL agreement are not included in this list, as they are aggregated in OpenAPC’s transformative agreements data set.

The GIGA German Institute of Global and Area Studies has updated its APC expenditures, the latest contribution provides data for the 2019 and 2020 period.
The GIGA Information Centre manages the institution’s APC expenditures in accordance with the GIGA Open Access Guidelines.

The State and University Library Bremen is in charge of the University’s Open Access Publishing Fund, which received support under the DFG’s Open Access Publishing Programme.
