University of Mannheim reports additional 2019 APC expenditures

The University of Mannheim has updated its APC expenditures, providing more data for the 2019 period.

The University Library Mannheim manages the university’s institutional Open Access Publication Fund. Please note that this fund is not supported by the DFG’s Open-Access Publishing Programme (contrary to most German universities participating in OpenAPC), but instead by Mannheim University Library, the Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts Baden-Württemberg and the Mannheim Centre for European Social Research (MZES).

Heidelberg University updates its 2019 APC expenditures

Heidelberg University has updated its APC expenditures. The recent contribution contains more APC data for the 2019 period.

The University Library Heidelberg is in charge of the University’s Open Access Publishing Fund, which is supported under the DFG’s Open Access Publishing Programme.

Jisc collections data for 2018 ingested

Jisc Collections has been gathering and releasing data on APC payments made by UK higher education institutions (HEIs).

Aggregated data for the last year has been made available recently and is now included into OpenAPC.

Since the data format employed by Jisc differs from the OpenAPC standard in several ways, a comprehensive pre- and postprocessing had to be conducted. The README in the Jisc data folder provides more details.

New ingestion

The ingested data covers publication fees for 10,139 articles published by UK institutions. Total expenditure amounts to 23 861 962€ and the average fee is 2 353€. Please note that these numbers do not equal the net increases, as articles reported by the Wellcome Trust were removed when forming duplicates with the Jisc data.
