JGU Mainz reports its 2019 APC expenditures

The JGU Mainz has updated its APC expenditures, the latest contribution provides data for the first half of the 2019 period.

Mainz University Library is in charge of the institution’s Open Access Publication Funds, which is supported by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) under its Open-Access Publishing Programme.

Cost data

The new dataset covers publication fees for 47 articles. Total expenditure amounts to 78 131€ and the average fee is 1 662€.

New articles ingested from OpenAPC Sweden

Our partner project OpenAPC Sweden collects APC data from institutions in Sweden.

Having agreed on a biannual ingestion interval, articles added to openapc-se since our last exchange have now been added to OpenAPC as well.

Cost data

The ingested data covers publication fees for 5,000 articles published by Swedish institutions (This includes articles already imported before). Total expenditure amounts to 8 895 442€ and the average fee is 1 779€.

Note that OpenAPC did neither include articles already present in its transformative agreements collection nor articles with a cost of 0€, so the net intake is lower than what might be expected.

We welcome the University of Salzburg as new contributing institution!

The University Library of Salzburg manages the university’s institutional Open Access Publication Fund and has kindly provided an initial data set on APC expenditures.
