Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg reports its 2017 APC expenditures

The Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) has updated its APC expenditures, the latest contribution provides data for the 2017 period.

The University Library of Erlangen-Nürnberg is in charge of the University’s Open Access Publishing Fund, which is supported under the DFG’s Open Access Publishing Programme.

The Max Planck Digital Library (MPDL) has reported more 2017 expenditures for eLife, MPDI, IOP, PLoS and SPIE journals.

MPDL provides institutional funding for Open Access publications for researchers affiliated with the Max Planck Society. MPDL makes use of central agreements with Open Access publishers.

Please note that article processing charges funded locally by Max Planck Institutes are not part of this data set. The Max Planck Society has a limited input tax reduction. The refund of input VAT for APC is 20%.

Cost data

The new dataset covers publication fees for 146 articles published by MPG researchers with the aforementioned publishers. Total expenditure amounts to 226 094€ and the average fee is 1 549€.
