Max Planck Digital Library updates its 2016 expenditures

The Max Planck Digital Library (MPDL) has reported its APC expenditures for BMC journals in 2016.

MPDL provides institutional funding for Open Access publications for researchers affiliated with the Max Planck Society. MPDL makes use of central agreements with Open Access publishers.

Please note that article processing charges funded locally by Max Planck Institutes are not part of this data set. The Max Planck Society has a limited input tax reduction. The refund of input VAT for APC is 20%.

Cost data

The new dataset covers publication fees for 51 articles published by MPG researchers in BMC journals. Total expenditure amounts to 80 511€ and the average fee is 1 579€.

Technische Universität München (TUM) has updated its APC expenditures. The latest contribution provides data for the 2016 period.

The TUM University Library is in charge of the University’s Open Access Publishing Fund, which is supported by the DFG under its Open-Access Publishing Programme.
