KIT updates its 2015 APC expenditures

The Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) has provided its APC expenditures for the 2015 period.

The KIT Library is in charge of the Institution’s Open Access Publishing Fund, which is supported by the DFG under its Open-Access Publishing Programme.

The new dataset covers publication fees for 135 articles, which the fund covered in 2015 so far. Total expenditure amounts to 179 147€ and the average fee is 1 327€.

University of Potsdam joins OpenAPC

We welcome the University of Potsdam as new contributing institution! Potsdam University Library is in charge of the University’s Open Access Publishing Fund, which is supported under the DFG’s Open Access Publishing Programme.

Data on first 20 articles from the Leibniz Association's open access fund

APC expenditures from the Open Access Publishing Fund of the Leibniz Association have been made available in a recent addition to the Open APC initiative.

Data is provided by Technische Informationsbibliothek (TIB) – German National Library of Science and Technology. TIB is operating the open access fund together with ZB MED – Leibniz Information Centre for Life Sciences and ZBW – German National Library of Economics – Leibniz Information Centre for Economics.

For 2016, the publishing fund is funded by resources from the strategy fund of the Leibniz Association Executive Board in the amount of 200,000 €.

First payments

The small initial dataset covers publication fees for 20 articles covered by the fund in 2016 YTD. Total expenditure amounts to 30,182€ and the average fee is 1,509€.

These are the first 20 payments, including taxes. Please note that APCs exceeding 2,000 EUR are shared between the fund and the corresponding Leibniz institution and that this data set only covers payments made via the central open access publishing fund.
