University of Bonn reports its 2021 DEAL data

The University of Bonn has updated its APC expenditures, providing data on articles published under the German DEAL agreement in the 2021 period.

The new data set covers publication fees for 144 articles published in Gold OA journals, total expenditure amounts to 280,848€ and the average fee is 1,950€. Please note that articles published in hybrid journals under the DEAL agreement are not included in this list, as they are aggregated in OpenAPC’s transformative agreements data set.

University of Rhode Island reports 2021 and 2022 APC expenditures

The University of Rhode Island (URI) has updated its APC expenditures, the recent contribution provides cost data on APCs paid between March 2021 and August 2022.

The URI University Libraries operate the University’s Open Access Fund, which underwrites publication fees for articles published in eligible open access journals.

SNSF reports 2022 APC expenditures

The Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) has provided its APC data for the 2022 period.

Within the framework of the SNSF’s OA policy, grantees are required to publish the results of their research in the form of Open Access publications. APC data on those publications is kindly made available to OpenAPC.

The new data set provided by the SNSF covers publication fees for 1,174 articles.

In total, the SNSF paid for 1,174 articles in 2022, with an aggreagted expenditure of 3,006,905€ and an average fee of 2,561€.
